DIRECTIONS TO FREE STATE MAIZE

From Johannesburg (Route 1):
Enter Potchefstroom along the N12 from Johannesburg

1. At the first set of traffic lights, turn right into M.C. Roode Street.

2. At the three way stop, cross over and carry on straight.

3. Carry on straight along M.C. Roode Street past the Mozart Street turn off. Do not turn into Mozart Street.

4. At the next three way stop (at Govan Mbeki Drive), take the slip way to left into Govan Mbeki Drive.

5. Carry on straight along Govan Mbeki Drive past some white tents on the right hand side to a set of traffic lights. This set of three way traffic lights is at the intersection of Govan Mbeki and Albert Luthuli Drives. Cross over and carry on straight along Govan Mbeki Drive. Do however move over to the right hand lane.

6. The next set of traffic lights is at the intersection of Retief Street and Govan Mbeki Drive.  Here you turn right into Retief Street. (KFC in on your right hand side at the traffic lights.)

7. Carry on along Retief Street, to a four way stop at Rivier Street. Here you cross over.

8. Carry on along Retief Street to a three way stop at Goetz Street, which you also cross.

9. The very first street to your left, here after, is Clark Street. The offices of Free State Maize is on the corner of Retief Street and Clark Street. Turn left into Clark Street and immediately right into the parking area opposite the offices of Free State Maize.

From Klerksdorp (Route 2):
Enter Potchefstroom along the N12 from Klerksdorp.

1. At the first set of traffic lights after you have crossed the bridge from Klerksdorp, turn left into Beyers Naudé Drive.

2. Carry on along Beyers Naudé Drive to a four way stop at James Moroka Street. Here you cross over.

3. Carry on along Beyers Naudé Drive to the next four way stop at Retief Street. Here you turn right.

4. Carry on along Retief Street to a four way stop. Here you cross over Peter Mokaba Drive.

5. Carry on along Retief Street to a three way stop, with Pick & Pay situated across the road on your right hand side. Here you cross over.

6. Carry on along Retief Street (passing Standard Bank on your left hand side) to a traffic light at Walter Sesulu Drive. Here you cross over.

7. The very first street to your right, here after, is Clark Street. The offices of Free State Maize is on the corner of Retief Street and Clark Street. Turn right into Clark Street and immediately right into the parking area opposite the offices of Free State Maize.

1. A train bridge is crossed as you enter Potchefstroom into Thabo Mbeki Drive.
2. Cross the four way stop street just after the bridge and carry on straight.
3. You then cross a river.
4. Next you will cross a three way stop street (Gerrit Dekker Street). Carry on straight.
5. Potchefstroom Gimnasium is situated on your right hand side. Carry on straight.
6. Carry on straight past the Conservatorium of the North West University.
7. Cross the next traffic light (Meyer Street) and carry on straight. The Fanie du Toit Sport Grounds of the North West University is situated on your left hand side.
8. Carry on straight past the North West Cricket Stadium on your left hand side.
9. Laerskool Mooirivier is situated on your right hand side. Carry on straight.
10. Cross the traffic light at the Albert Luthuli Drive and carry on straight.
11. Thabo Mbeki Drive now changes to Walter Sisulu Drive. Carry on straight past PG Glass, which is situated on the right hand side.
12. You then pass the Soetdoring Guest House on your right hand side.
13. Change lanes to the left lane.
14. Carry on straight until you have the Standard Bank on your right hand side and the next set of traffic lights in front of you. Turn left at this set of traffic lights into Retief Street.
15. The very first street to your right, here after, is Clark Street. The offices of Free State Maize is on the corner of Retief Street and Clark Street. Turn right into Clark Street and immediately right into the parking area opposite the offices of Free State Maize.

From Viljoenskroon (from Welkom) (Route 4):

1. Turn left at the T-junction coming from Viljoenskroon.

2. Enter Potchefstroom along Govan Mbeki Drive, crossing a small bridge.

3. On your left hand side you will see a notice welcoming you in Potchefstroom.

4. Cary on straight past Viljoen Street, Aarbei Street and Chris Hani Drive on your left hand side.

5. You will then cross a pedestrian crossing. Carry on straight.

6. The Potchefstroom Gholf Club is situated on your right hand side, with Smit Street to the left. Carry on straight.

7. Next you will cross another traffic light (Du Plooy Street). Willows Garden Court is situated on your right hand side. Carry on straight.

8. The Potchefstroom Banquet Halls is situated on your left hand side just before the next set of traffic lights at Nelson Mandela Drive. Here you carry on straight.

9. The Mooiriver Mall is now situated on your right hand side, and the Riverwalk Mall on your left hand side. Cross the three way stop street between the to malls.

10. The next traffic light (James Moroka Drive) must be crossed. MacDonalds and Engen is situated on your left hand side. Carry on straight.

11. The next set of traffic lights is at the intersection of Retief Street and Govan Mbeki Drive. Here you turn left into Retief Street. (KFC will then be on your right hand side once you have turned.)

12. Cross over to the right hand lane.

13. Carry on along Retief Street, to a four way stop at Rivier Street. Here you cross over.

14. Carry on along Retief Street to a three way stop at Goetz Street, which you also cross
    over.

15. The very first street to your left, here after, is Clark Street. The offices of Free State Maize is on the corner of Retief Street and Clark Street. Turn left into Clark Street and immediately right into the parking area opposite the offices of Free State Maize.

Enter Potchefstroom along the R53 from Parys.

1. Carry on straight and cross over the first set of traffic lights.

2. Carry on straight past the Kumkani Guest Lodge and Garden Pavillion on your left hand side and a Sasol garage on your right hand side until you get to the second set of traffic lights.

3. This is the Nelson Mandela Drive intersection. Carry on straight over the intersection.

4. Carry on straight past the Mooi River Mall on your left hand side. After passing the Mooi River Mall, change lanes to the right hand lane.

5. At the next set of traffic lights, turn right into Govan Mbeki Drive. MacDonalds will then be on your left hand side.

6. The next set of traffic lights is at the intersection of Retief Street and Govan Mbeki Drive. Here you turn left into Retief Street. (KFC will be on your right hand side once you have turned.)

7. Cross over to the right hand lane as soon as you have turned into Retief Street.

8. Carry on along Retief Street, to a four way stop at Rivier Street. Here you cross over.

9. Carry on along Retief Street to a three way stop at Goetz Street, which you also cross over.

10. The very first street to your left, here after, is Clark Street. The offices of Free State Maize is on the corner of Retief Street and Clark Street. Turn left into Clark Street and immediately right into the parking area opposite the offices of Free State Maize.

From Ventersdorp (Route 6):
Enter Potchefstroom along the R53 from Ventersdorp.

1. At the first set of traffic lights, turn left into Meyer Street.

2. Carry on straight over the three way stop street, with Medi Clinic on your right hand side.

3. Carry on straight past multi-coloured student housing on your right hand side until you get to the next four way stop street (Silver Street).

4. Carry on straight over the bridge. The main entrance to the North West University will be on your left hand side at the next four way stop street (Hoffman Street). Carry on straight.

5. The Cachet Park shopping centre will be on your right hand side. Carry on straight over the next set of traffic lights at Steve Biko Drive.

6. Carry on straight over the next four way stop street (Molen Street).

7. At the next set of traffic lights, turn right into Thabo Mbeki Drive.

8. Carry on straight past the North West Cricket Stadium on your left hand side.

9. Laerskool Mooirivier is situated on your right hand side.

10. Cross the traffic light at the Albert Luthuli Drive and carry on straight.

11. Thabo Mbeki Drive now changes to Walter Sisulu Drive. Carry on straight past PG Glass on your right hand side.

12. You then pass the Soetdoring Guest House on your right hand side.

13. Carry on straight until you have passed the Standard bank on your right hand side.

14. At the next traffic light, turn right into Retief Street.
